For your convenience, here are some tips for nurturing the young plants:
- Immediately after purchasing young plants, avoid direct sunlight for 2-5 days to allow them to recover from transportation and weather changes.
- Then, transfer them to larger pots (1-3 gallons) based on the plant’s size. For potting mix, you can buy it from local stores, Home Depot, or use your well-drained garden soil with the right moisture retention.
- When potting, fill the pot 3/4 of the way, add slow-release fertilizer (1 spoon for 1-gallon pots, 3 spoons for 3-gallon pots), place the plant, and fill the rest of the pot.
- Water thoroughly and keep it in a semi-shaded area for a couple of days before moving to full sun. Be cautious of excessive heat or blazing sun.
